Yes, I know, it's a stupid nickname, but why do they call me "le Tete"?
Well it started about four years ago while out bowling. Just a random insult aimed at me by one of my friends Chris. And "Spamhead" was born.
Now I'd had nicknames in the past, some of them almost acceptable, but none of them had ever stuck. So yes, of course, it's the really stupid, inexplicable one that follows me round for life.
When I went to live in Strasbourg for a year, in the eyes of my friends I became French. So my nickname had to change. A very boring French grammar argument ensued as to whether my head was merely made of Spam, or whether my head was made of all the Spam in the world. This got a bit too complicated (or sad, depending on your viewpoint), and in the end we settled on "le Tete".
All I can say is, you should have seen my face recently, when a date who I'd only known for the past twenty minutes or so asked me if I had any stupid nicknames. Yes, I know I should have lied.
